 Mutya san Ibabao 2023 Graces 28th PCR Month Kick-off Ceremony


Camp Carlos Delgado, Catarman, Northern Samar- Northern Samar PNP top official PCOL ALFREDO J TADEFA led the men and women of the Northern Samar Police Provincial Office in the Kick-off Ceremony of the 28th Police-Community Relations (PCR) Month coinciding Flag Raising Ceremony on July 3, 2023 here.


Anchored on this year’s theme, “Serbisyong Nagkakaisa para sa Ligtas at Maunlad na Pamayanan”, the month-long celebration aims to foster a strong collaboration between the police and the community in sustaining peace and order in the community.


This significant event was graced by the recently crowned Mutya san Ibabao 2023, Ms. Meg Ymata Di as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.


In her message, Miss Di gave emphasis on this year’s PCR month theme and the essence of working together toward progress and development.


“This theme aligns perfectly with the slogan closest to my heart, 'Abante Norte'. Together, they embody our shared vision for progress, unity, and the well-being of our beloved province,” said Miss Ibabao.


She also pointed the importance of prioritizing inclusivity and social justice.


“To realize ‘Serbisyong Nagkakaisa para sa Ligtas at Maunlad na Pamayanan, ‘ we must prioritize inclusivity and social justice. We must ensure that no one is left behind, regardless of background, gender, or socio-economic status. Let us foster a society that values diversity, respect human rights, and champions equal opportunities for all,” she added.


Meanwhile, in recognition to the strong partnership of the police and the community in crime prevention and public safety programs, certificates of recognition were given to The Provincial Youth Development Office thru Mr. Jhon Allen B Berbon; Ms. Arlyn C. Tepace, Supervising Administrative Officer of the Provincial Information Office; IA5 Silas S. Aurelia, Provincial Officer, PDEA-NSPO; Pastor Crisanto Teneripe, Bless Our Cops Provincial Coordinator and Mr. Tito B Tepace, Station Manager of 106.1 Radyo Pilipinas.


On the other hand, PCpl Melvin L Monticalvo of Bobon MPS and PCpl Cleo P Juliata of Lapinig MPS were commended for their continuous support to the outreach programs of NSPPO.


As the program concluded, the Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit turned over the donation to NSPPO for the “Bente Otso Pesos Mo para sa Ika-18 na PCR Anibersaryo Project.”


This initiative and project started in 2021 and for this year, proceeds collected will be used for activities intended to selected Barangay Peace Keeping Action Teams and other Advocacy Support Groups.


The attendees were also entertained by modern dances performed by the NSPPO Dance Crew.


Also present in the activity is Atty. Jerico C Ocenar, NAPOLCOM Provincial Officer; PLTCOL JOEL M NICHA, DPDA; PLTCOL JOY G LEANZA; staff and personnel of 1st NSPMFC and NSPPO.
