Police seize P1.2-B drugs between January 1 and March 10, 2023
PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. stated during a press conference at the police headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City, that during the 9,375 police operations over the time period, 12,622 major drug dealers and street-level drug personalities were apprehended.
Continual nationwide investigations to combat loose firearms, he continued, have resulted in the seizure of 6,268 firearms from January 1 to March 12, as well as the arrest of 14,472 wanted individuals as a result of the campaign's increased vigilance.
Operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have captured PHP1.2 billion worth of illegal drugs from Jan. 1 to March 10 this year, the country's top cop bared on Monday.
