 Park Jin-young on returning to Philippines ‘I really miss my fans. 



Park Jin-young, a South Korean actor better known by his stage name Jinyoung, visited the Philippines once more for his "Rendezvous" fan concert on February 26 at the New Frontier Theater.


The GOT7 member performed for thousands of his Filipino fans during the event, which was put on by PULP Live World, and handed them unexpected gifts. A few fortunate admirers even got to photograph Jinyoung on stage.


Over the numerous segments at the fan event, the fans learned more about the K-Pop singer.


Jinyoung stated his pleasure to be returning to the Philippines in a pre-event interview with the Philippine media.


During the press conference, he remarked, "I am really, really glad that I'm here today because I truly miss my fans here in the Philippines and I will be holding more performances in other countries as well. Soon, I will probably come here with the other members as well (through English interpreter)."


Jinyoung discussed the distinction between performing in a group and performing solo now that he is performing for his Filipino fans alone.

While playing solo, there is extremely little preparation time. only 40 minutes. Two and a half hours with the team. There are no changes other than the time, but performing with the members is a lot of joy anyway, he added.


At the same interview, Jinyoung also discussed his acting career.


The South Korean actor served as the show's host on a number of occasions, including Yumi's Cells, When My Love Flowers, and He Is Psychometric.

The actor said, "Honestly speaking, I cannot just say particularly which job was the most difficult since some of them look simple, but honestly for me to perform the role effectively enough was truly a problem," when asked what the most difficult role he has played up to that point was.


Jinyoung stated that he wants to play more characters in the future, although he did not specify which one.


But honestly, he said, "I want to play a role that would match my age. Honestly, I want to play diverse roles, and actually every role is significant for me.

On his plans for the rest of 2023, he shared: "First priority is our event for today and also three days after we will have another concert in Taiwan and also I want to finish the drama very well."


The singer-actor is set to star in a new drama titled Witch.
