 New People's Army (NPA) declared persona non-grata in San Isidro and Calubian, Leyte 


Persona non grata status was given to the New People's Army (NPA) organization in the Leyte towns of Calubian and San Isidro. This is related to the peace rally held the day prior with participation from the military, the local government units of San Isidro and Calubian, stakeholders, and other parties.

 First Lieutenant Milbert Ryan Raagas, Commanding Officer of the 802nd Infantry Brigade, claims that the NPAs had cordoned off the residents of the same region and ordered them to stop the unrest. Remedio Veloso, the mayor of San Isidro, and Marciano Batiancela Jr., the mayor of Calubian, together with other politicians, led the demonstration. The right-wing organization set fire to the flags as a sign of defiance. 


The New People's Army (NPA) or eight other factions are required to submit to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). Brigadier General Lope Dagoy opened the way for the eight groups to return to the government, according to 1st Lt Milbert Ryan Raagas, Commanding Officer of the 802nd Infantry Brigade, so that this is their secret life with their different families.
